If you’re shopping in the Triangle area for ShowerGuard (Guardian Glass), or any type glass shower enclosure, you’ll soon discover there are multiple companies that provide variations of service. If you only call one company, do yourself a favor and make sure its City Mirror and Glass (i.e., not to be confused with City Glass and Mirror). City Mirror and Glass may not have the biggest showroom in the area but their service is top notch. With luck you'll get to meet Nora the office manager who knows everything about ShowerGuard glass and all the services City Mirror and Glass can provide.

I tend to be OCD when I’m considering making a purchase of considerable expense so I actually spent several weeks visiting all the top rated companies and showrooms in the greater Raleigh area, interviewing employees and requesting quotes. Prior to my recent retirement I spent several decades working in every conceivable arena of home renovation market so I was very familiar with the various options and considerations in regards to shower glass enclosures from the the different types of glass to the various water spot prevention treatments in the market place.

I arranged for multiple company's to come to my house, take measurements, explain what they could or could not provide and submit a formal estimate. Each company was given the same requirements as to what I wanted from the hardware finishes to the desired height of the glass panels. While conducting my interviews and research I maintained a spreadsheet so I could do an apples to apples comparison between companies, their offering, prices and what they could or could not provide per my initial request. Fact, several of them "bent the truth" when explaining why their products or services were better than what other companies could offer.

From the initial design and layout to the final construction of our shower, our vision was to have a glass door that hinged off the right side pony wall. Two of the companies interviewed said, due to the custom construction and layout of our shower that “no shower glass company anywhere” could install glass the way it was designed. Four of them said they could provide a variation so we would have “most” of what we envisioned... but at an additional expense. NET: Prior to my meeting and onsite appointment with City Mirror & Glass, all the previous vendors were quick to mention the shower door "could not" be hinged the way we wanted because of the showers unique Neo angle design and/or the operational limitations of shower hinge hardware. Many of them also forewarned we should expect some leaking around the door due to the design.

Imagine my delight when Ramon, the owner of City Mirror & Glass, said they could provide "all" the features and design elements I specified without ever implying there was anything unusual with my requests. Even more surprising the price estimate I received from City Mirror and Glass. It was by far the best estimate I received as well as being the best value when considering they were the only company who that was able to deliver and install "everything exactly the way I wanted!"

The actual installation process was every bit as smooth. Mike and Ce'sar (sp) like all the other employees as City Mirror and Glass, were professionals. With great care they took several hours installing the glass, taking time to make finite adjustments to all the panels and door clearances. We’ve now taken well over a dozen showers and are happy to report not a single drop of water has escaped the glass enclosure.

Ramon and the staff of City Mirror and Glass operate with honesty, integrity and professionalism while also being extremely familiar with the complexities of the glass industry. We were thoroughly impressed with the service they provided and highly recommend them!

I had an old curio cabinet that the front door glass broke while removing it while painting. I found City Mirror & Glass from Google reviews that they were highly rated. I am so pleased with the job they did cutting the glass for the cabinet door. It fit perfectly and the customer service was top-notch! I'm very pleased and will return to City Mirror & Glass when I have a need for glass or mirrors. As an added bonus, they have a lot of choices for shower doors in their showroom and I will also look to them for that. Highly recommend for your glass/mirror needs.

We had a large bay window that had fogged up to the point where you could barely see through it. We contacted other vendors and at least two never called back with an estimate. However, City Mirror and Glass came out promptly, got as a written estimate within a day or two. The price was very fair and the installers came a few weeks later after the custom piece was ordered. The installation was very professional and they showed up when they said they would and did a very detailed job. You can't even tell they were here other than it is fixed. I highly recommend this company for any fogged glass repair.

Just had my second round of Window replacements with City Glass. These guys are always reasonably priced, arrive on schedule, and leave everything looking brand new! Will continue to use them for any future glass replacement needs...

Closed for lunch...but I have always gotten A PLUS service there. The desk lady/customer service person took the time to show me samples, and told me what was and wasn't available within my time frame and budget. They called, and sent emails to let me know the progress of my small custom cut glass order. A very pleasant experience!
